The Relocation Crime Lab Index, hosted by Realtor.com provides annual crime rates per 100,000 population and an overall index for over 500 cities.  Since a city’s crime rate can be compared to the other cities in the database and against a national average, it’s a great tool for determining how your current city compares with a city you may be interested in making your new home.
