Clients gathered to enjoy a day of looking back at the daily life, art and beliefs of 19th century Americans through the Shakers, theTtranscendentalists, Native Americans, and the Hudson River Painters.

The American Indian Museum is one of four museums devoted to preserving 19th century American culture and art (totem poles and carriages, basketry, and a fine collection of materials collected by Henry David Thoreau).




	The children (little & big!) enjoyed making crafts from the times - Hammered tin designs & printed fabric artwork.




	Refreshments & picnic lunches nourished the troops for the walk along the hilly terrain.



	Young, old and in between enjoyed the great weather and scenery.
